October Giveaway #1!

Welcome to my first October Giveaway! If you've been stalking this space in the last week or so, you know there are more to come. It's my birthday this month, and I thought I'd share the love with you! Every Monday this month, I'll post a new giveaway. The winner will be picked and posted on Friday. Sound ok to you?

Ready to see what's up this week?

The suspense is killing you, yes?

Ok, ok!

Up for grabs is a pattern by one of my favorite designers, Daniela Stout of Cozy Quilt Designs. I actually won a bunch of patterns from Daniela last year after winning a Moda design contest. However, I wound up with a duplicate of one of her patterns from a fabric club. It wouldn't be fair to keep it to myself!

And to go along with it, how about an oldie but a goodie? I've been hanging onto this one for some time, just waiting for the right opportunity to use it. If this isn't making great use of it, I don't know what is! A jelly roll of the out-of-print Oh-Cherry-Oh! by Me & My Sister for Moda.

Yum!

What to do to win? Leave me a comment telling me what you're looking forward to this fall? A certain fabric line? A certain autumn ritual? I'm ready to hunt down some It's a Hoot! yardage from MoMo this fall. And the Madman and I will be doing some apple-picking in the next week or so--here in New England, the harvests have begun in earnest!!

Want an extra chance to win? Become a follower, and leave me a comment to let me know. (If you're already a follower, comment to let me know that, too!)

Want a third chance? Blog about it, then comment here with a link to let me know!

So that's three chances to win!! Good luck!

Hi. I'm looking forward to hand quilting during the autumn season - something that is too hot during the summer but just right for the colder days and evenings. Thanks for the great blog and giveaway. I follow you using google reader - I don't know if that counts. Best wishes Caroline (carolinehemsley@btinternet.com)

I'm looking forward to a trip to Maine where I hope to see some beautiful fall colors. Even if the colors are past their prime, there should still be some good picture taking opportunities.

Great giveaway....thanks for the chance to win.

We have so many family traditions in the fall that is it not possible to list them all. I just love everything about the season.

I have to do four more quilts as gifts. I am keen to finish them rather than having them as unfinished projects! That fabric is fabulous.
Thanks for sharing.

I look forward to decorating in the fall. We live in Florida, so no change of seasons here. But we love to bring the fall indoors.

Happy birthday Meg! I am looking forward to hunting down some great Dream On yardage (just came out this month) to go with the jelly roll I picked up this summer. I am also hoping to make it to my college's homecoming later this month to see some old friends that I haven't seen in awhile!

This week fall came in full force along with warm beverages, oatmeal for breakfast, lighting pumpkin spice candles and chilly hikes through the forest. It's my favorite time of year.

Fall is always welcome because it brings in the fresh, crisp, cooler air. I live in the south (Georgia) and our summers are so hot and humid that when fall comes to town, I welcome it with open arms. I've already done the traditional visit to the mountains of North Carolina for apples, so now it's just sit back and enjoy the cooler weather. Time to do the hand-work on the quilts that it's been too hot to enjoy up until now. Your Oh-Cherry-Oh! fabric is lovely - just the kind of fabric colors I love! dmj53(at)hotmail(dot)com
